CORNETT
Gladys (nee Cunigan), Age 97, formerly of Fairfield, passed away December 26 at Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Jackson County, KY on August 15, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dolphus O. Cornett; her parents Abe C. Cunigan and Lettye Hacker Cunigan of London, KY. She is survived by her daughter, Athalene and son-in-law Buddy M. Wallin; sisters Glenna Felty, Pauline Perry, and Irene (Robert) Tilden; sisters-in-law, Jesse House, Elsie Bowling, and Phyllis Johnson; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sue Nalagattla, Dr. Sam Docena, Lori Rehm of Life Span, Westover Staff, Fort Hamilton and Kettering Staff, and Hospice of Cincinnati. Many Westover residents were special to her, especially Pauline. She and her husband were pilgrims to Fairfield, before it even became a city. She loved her Fairfield home, her family, and friends, especially Bunny. She enjoyed antiques and gardening. She and Dolphus enjoyed Florida, and traveling the USA. Visitation will be Thursday December 29, 2011 from 10-11 a.m. at The Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev William C. Brantingham officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
