Age 57 of Fairfield died suddenly Friday, February 11, 2011 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born July 19, 1953 to Dan and Isabel (Adams) Padgett. Gordon was a 1971 graduate of Edgewood High School and was the owner of Gordon A. Padgett Trucking. Anyone who lived in Fairfield witnessed the pride he had in his clean black dump trucks. Gordon also loved driving his drag boat "Final Effort" until his accident in June of 1981 in Columbiaville, MI. He lived his life in the fast lane, which included his love for his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include his mother, Isabel; 3 sons, Greggory, Garrett (Nicki) and Gage; sister, Nancy; 5 grandchildren, Gwendolynn, Gavin, Grayson, Griffin and Gannon; 2 nephews, Brian and Brad Newman; and special friend, Clayton Weaver. Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Dan; and both sets of grandparents.
