McWHORTER, Granville P. "Bub"
Age 78 of Fairfield passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born September 27, 1932 in Manchester, KY the son of Ance and Maggie (Hopper) McWhorter. Granville worked as an Inspector for General Motors and attended of Community Christian Church.
He leaves behind his children, Jeff (Lisa) McWhorter, Bill McWhorter and Brenda Ponder (Wendell) Hodges; grandchildren, Tanner, Taya McWhorter, Charlie and Jason Ponder, and Josh and Hannah McWhorter; brothers Seymoure McWhorter and Charlie McWhorter; sisters, Beatrice Greer and Dora Mae Parker; and best friend, Charlie Thomas. Granville was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, JoAnn McWhorter; brothers, Ray and Ance, Jr. McWhorter; and sister, Laura Pennington.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. - until time of service (6 p.m.), Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Randy Adams of Community Christian Church, officiating.
