Guy Lee Gessendorf Sr.

Age 93 of Fairfield passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at Tri-County Extended Care. He was born June 22, 1917 in New Richmond, Oh, the son of Joseph and Vella (Watson) Gessendorf. On April 23, 1977 Guy married Ruby Reid in Hamilton, OH. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and worked at Ohio Casualty until his retirement in 1985. Also, memberships included: Hugh L. Bates # 686 F. &A.M.; York Rite Bodies; Gidieons; and the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.
He leaves behind his wife, Ruby Gessendorf; children, Guy Lee (Barbara) Gessendorf, Jr., Betty Bowling, Ronnie K. Grimes, and Sandra K. Lunsford; sister, Sue Logan; and 8 grandchildren. Guy was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Eva (Hicks) Gessendorf in 1975; daughter, Barbara Hymer; and brothers, John and Joe, Jr.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (11 a.m.), Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd., Hamilton, OH 45013 with Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev.
