Harold T. Hilton

Age 89 of Hamilton passed away November 22, 2013 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born February 24, 1924 in Cleveland, OH, the son of William and Ester (Krist) Hilton. On August 17, 1946 Harold married Betty Jane Van Lieu in Ross, OH. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. Harold was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Hilton leaves behind his loving wife, Betty Jane Hilton; children, Harold E. "Hal" Hilton and Kathy (Bugsy) Phalen; grandchildren, Kristie, Kathie, Kellie, Keri, and Kim; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Kody, Kaiden, Koury, Autumn, Avery, Allie, Lyla, Essie and Maxton; siblings, Evelyn Gompf, Grace Thomson, and Dorothy Garland. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard Hilton, Delbert Hilton, Ernest Hilton and David Hilton.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Rev. Grant Montgomery officiating. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Venice Cemetery in Ross, OH. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
