Hazel Marie (Chasteen) Turman

TURMAN Hazel Marie (Chasteen), age 92, of Fairfield passed away at Glen Meadows on March 31, 2014. She was born on July 12, 1921 in Pineville, KY to Bright and Margaret (Hale) Chasteen. She married Lester E. Turman of Eaton, OH on April 1, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1994. Hazel served 28 years as a Sunday school teacher at Landmark Baptist Church and is currently a member of the Lindenwald Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Kenneth L. (Lois) Turman; 3 grandchildren Denny L. Turman, Kristopher D. Turman, of Hamilton, and Daniel Ray Turman of Gainesville, VA; and great grandmother of 9. Hazel is also survived by her devoted daughter in law Patsy Turman and her children; close friend Mary Sue Havens; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, loving son, Donald Ray Turman, two brothers, Chester and Arthur; and one sister, Pearlie. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to caregivers at Glen Meadows and Woodridge for their excellent care and kindness. Pallbearers will be Denny, Kristopher, Daniel, Cody, Liam, and DJ Turman. Visitation will be Friday April 4, 2014 from 11 to 12 at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory; 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 Funeral Services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Rd., 45215.
