ANDERSON, Helen (nee Gratton )

96 died January 2, 2008, in Fairfield, Ohio. Born Detroit, Michigan and former resident of Farmington Hills, Michigan. Wife of the late William R. Anderson, of Fairfield, Ohio, and Farmington Hills, Michigan. Daughter of late Dr. Henri L. Gratton and Elizabeth Gratton (nee Salliotte) of Detroit, Michigan. Helen leaves two children, five grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. She was much loved by all, and will be greatly missed. Mass of Celebration for her life at 11:30 am, Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, 48 W. Sharon Road, Glendale, Ohio. Visitation will also be that day from 11:00am until time of service, also at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11299 Princeton Road, Springfield, Ohio. Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains the same. I am I and you are you, and the old life that we lived together is untouched and unchanged. Call me by my familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way in which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, laugh as we used to, play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be spoken without a shadow upon it. Life means all that it was meant to be. There is an absolute and unbroken continuity between us. For what is death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near. All is well.
