Helen Ford

age 75 of Hamilton, passed away on May 17, 2007. She was born June 5, 1931 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Walter E. and Kathryn (Owen) Bockenthien. Helen graduated from the University of Iowa in 1954. On May 3, 1958 she married Joseph E. Ford. To this marriage four sons were born; Brother Christopher E. Ford, F.S.C. of Las Cruces, NM, Joseph Edward (Juli Cappelli) Ford of Hamilton, Thomas S. (Joye Schockman) Ford of Cincinnati and Andrew O. (Jane Rush) Ford of Bloomington, IN. Also survived by granddaughter, Katie Ford and brother, Jack Bockenthien of Colorado Springs, CO. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Bockenthien. Helen was a teacher and Medical Social Worker at Mercy Hospitals of Hamilton and Fairfield, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the St. Julie Billiart Church and the Cooperative Service League. Helen was a loving, caring wife and mother who also was an avid bridge player and reader. Cremation has taken place with a private family burial service. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. - until time of Memorial Mass (10 a.m.), at St. Julie Billiart Church on Saturday, May 26, 2007 with Fr. Mike Pucke, Celebrant.
