Helen Gallagher (née Douglas)

March 28, 1951- January 9, 2026

Helen was born and grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1976, she moved to Louisville, Kentucky, to marry the love of her life, Price Gallagher. This month, Helen and Price celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Helen embraced life with warmth and kindness. She enjoyed camping, volunteering in the Mercy North gift shop, and, above all, watching her grandchildren grow. She will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the generous love she shared with everyone around her.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Price; her son, Jonathan (Adrienne); her daughter, Karen; and her six cherished grandchildren: Cailyn, Gavin, Donivan, Colin, James, and Daimion. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Hennessey (Bill) and Vera Steggles (Peter), along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lillian Douglas; her brother, Ivan Douglas; her sisters, Doreen Boyd and Pauline Douglas; and her granddaughter, Addilynn Cornwell.

A brief Visitation Service will be held at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield OH 45014 on Thursday January 22 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Minister Aaron Levering officiating.
