Age 88 of Cincinnati, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Maple Knoll Village. Gene, a mechanical engineer, graduated and received an outstanding senior award from North Carolina State College. Gene was an Army Paratrooper and a World War II veteran. He retired from the Procter and Gamble Company after 38 years of service. He married the late Mona F. Seibel in 1945. Gene leaves behind his beloved wife, Dorothy Thomas; son, Herman E. "Gene" (Linda) Seibel Jr.; daughter, Barbara (Richard Boudi) Seibel, grandchildren; Teri (Larry) Land and Gregory Seibel, great grandchildren, Emily Land; sisters, Betty Scott and Margaret Sculos. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mona. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Maple Knoll Community Chapel, 11200 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maple Knoll Continuing Care Fund, 11200 Springfield Pike, or Hospice of Cincinnati, 4301 Cooper Road.
