Ida (Frazier) Balsinger, age 86 of Fairfield passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in London, KY on May 13, 1917 the daughter of William and Lucy (Rush) Frazier. In October of 1937 she married Charles E. Balsinger in London, KY. She worked as a meat processor for Hamilton Provision and was a member of the New Miami Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her son, William (Lois) Balsinger; daughter Wanda (Kenneth) New, Barbara (Gerald) Phillips and Lois Northcutt; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Lula Frazier. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles on August 22, 1973; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; and 2 grandsons, Michael Scott Jones on August 9, 2001 and Philip Ray New on December 22, 2003.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday May 14, 2004 at the New Miami Wesleyan Church, corner of Helvey and Elliott Avenues in New Miami. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery in London, KY. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Hospice of Cincinnati.
