Imogene Bartels
March 17, 1927 — August 20, 2007
Age 80 of Fairfield passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Tri-County Extended Care. She was born March 17, 1927 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Charles and Carrie (George) Huff. On February 13, 1950, she married Walter Bartels in Hamilton, OH. Imogene graduated from Hamilton High in 1945 and cooked in various places finally retiring from Wellington Manor. She enjoyed nothing more than reading and doing search word puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Cheryl) Bartels, Paul (Linda) Bartels, Robert Bartels, Julie Ann Roberts, and Donna Gibson (Ezra); 7 siblings; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Walter Bartels; 6 siblings; and 2 grandsons.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and aides that took care of Imogene while at Tri-County, especially those on the 700 hall.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - until time of service (12 noon), Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
