Ivy L. Napier

Age 86 of Fairfield Township passed away Monday, December 10, 2007 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born Ocotber 23, 1921 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. On November 4, 1944 she married Virgil William Napier in Grantham, England. Ivy was drafted into the British Industrial Corps during WWII. Ivy and daughter, Georgina arrived in the United States March 26, 1947 and later became a US Citizen in 1953.

Ivy worked for 30 + years at Woolworth Co. where she received numerous awards for her devotion and hard work and customer service. She had great respect for those she worked with.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and is survived by her children, Jeanette (William) Brown and Stephen (Debbie) Napier; son-in-law Paul Henson; grandchildren, William, James, Laura, Angela, Stephanie, and Brenda; 13 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Ivy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; daughter, Georgina Henson; and great-granddaughter, Lurae'.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Mercy Hospital and Hospice of Hamilton for their loving care.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (11:30 a.m.), Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dr. John Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 896 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, OH 45013.
