Jack Thomas Bailey

January 19, 1933 — June 11, 2008

Age 75 of Middletown passed away Thursday, June 11, 2008 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born January 19, 1933 in Middletown, OH, the son of Thomas William and Gertrude Berta (Schmitt) Bailey. Jack was a Tank Sargent for the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He received college credit from Miami University, Oxford and Ohio State University, and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Jack went on to work as the supervisor of labor reserve at Armco Steel for over 30 years. He served for years as Treasure, Elder, and Deacon for the Messiah Lutheran Church of Middletown.

Jack is survived by his children, Jeffery Thomas (Cathy) Bailey, John Dale (Kelly) Bailey, Jacqueline Lee (Steven) Kling, and James Curtis (Stephanie) Bailey; grandchildren, Casey Lain Blackwill, Johnathan Thomas Bailey, Isabella Kai and Mia Parker Kling, and James Johan, Yannick Curtis, and Allison Emily Bailey; brother, Richard William Bailey; very close cousin, James Harlen (Sandy) Hensley; as well as many friends at Periwinkle Park in Sanibel Island, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at the family's convenience.
