James K. Sr. – age 86 of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born July 13, 1930 in Owenton, KY to the late Jack and Jenny Garnett (nee Holbert). On March 15, 1975 in Glendale, OH he married his wife Mrs. Thelma Gene Garnett (nee Tallent). James was a Mason and a veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by his wife Thelma; children James Kenny Garnett Jr., Dawna (Mark) Gregory and Carol Henley; sister Opal Ashburn; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous family and friends. James is preceded in death by his daughter Linda (Richard) Wirmel and sisters Katherine (Paul) Calhoun and Virginia Garnett. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 7PM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014 with visitation from 530PM until time of service. Rev.
