James S. Grimes

Age 71 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born April 4, 1936 in Lilly, KY, the son of Charles and Cleo Grimes. On January 12, 1957 Jim married Polly Herald in Tazwell, TN. He worked for General Electric until his retirement in 1993 and then at First Financial Bank.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Polly Grimes; son, Steve (Kim) Grimes; brother, Paul (Jean) Grimes; sister, Julia Polly; grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Adam, April, Jeremy, Rachael and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Charles, Raymond and Harvey.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Also, the family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com
