James M. Jones
February 29, 1920 — December 17, 2007
Age 87 of Colerain Township, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born February 29, 1920 in Mercer County, KY, the son of Howard and Gladys (Baker) Jones. On October 5, 1943 James married Marjorie Ann Jones in Newport, KY. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in WWII and a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Hamilton.
Mr. Jones is survived by his daughters, Robin Ann Frederick and husband David, Janyce Sue Smith, and Patricia Kaye Efnor and husband Richard; grandchildren, Shauna Ann Smith (Mark), Joe James Smith, Marc Christopher Waldrop (Jeanne), and Michele Lynn Baker; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Mark, Jr., Katelyn, Joshua, Kyle, and Kayleigh; and brother, William (Alfred) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. - until time of service (1:15 p.m.), Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
