James O. Lawson, Jr.

Age 67 of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 Hospice of Hamilton. He was born June 15, 1940 in Lebanon, KY, the son of James O. and Edna L. (Wise) Lawson, Sr. On August 6, 1966 Jim married Marian V. Frank in Cincinnati. He was a Veteran of the US Army and retired from the Cincinnati Police Department in 1991. Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #69 and the First Baptist Church of Greenhills.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marian Lawson; mother, Edna Lawson; children, James Troy (Ramona) Lawson, Richard Earl (Andrea) Lawson, Sherry Ann (Steven) Owens, Stephen James (Amy) Lawson; brothers, Jerry Lawson and Robert Lawson; sister, Lillian Beckham; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Friday, February 29, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Greenhills, 11195 Winton Rd., Cincinnati, OH. Burial will follow at Venice Cemetery, Ross, OH. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH. The family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com
