James R. Minor

April 4, 1932 — February 8, 2008

Age 75 of Hamilton, passed away Friday, February 08, 2008 at Veteran's Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born April 4, 1932 in Hamilton, Ohio to Dorothy and Richard E. Minor. He graduated from Hamilton High School and Miami University and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a 50 year Mason, and a Kentucky Colonel. He owned and operated Minor's Boats and Motors in New Miami, Ohio for 40 years.

He is survived by his children Dorothy (Steve) Greenhalgh; Anna (Mike) Lawson; Richard A. Minor; James R. (Sue) Minor, Vicki Huyear; brother, Roy (Eva) Jones ; grandchildren, Abraham (Stefanie) Lawson, Josey Lawson, Caleb Lawson, Maranda Lawson, Rachael Lawson, Alysha Lawson, James R. Minor, III (Sasha), Alex Wildermuth, Mara Wildermuth, Grant Huyear, Emily Greenhalgh, Megan Greenhalgh and Abigail Greenhalgh and one great granddaughter, Leanna Lawson.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. followed by a brief Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
