James Clay Revel

REVEL, James C., age 83 of Fairfield, passed away Thursday April 4th 2013, at home with family by his side. He was born in Paris, KY 12/8/29, to James A. and Bessie (Columbia) Revel. He married the love of his life, Martha Young in Liberty, IN 57 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Martha, loving father of Mike (Sharon) Revel, Steve (Sheila) Revel, Gina (Jay) Young; dear Papaw of Shannon (Bill) Weitz, Stacy (Jason) Poulin, Justin (Becky) Revel, Jodi (Chris) Miller, Aaron (Anjalisa) Revel, Jaylin Young; Great Papaw of Chanel Revel, Kaitlyn and Alyssa Weitz, Aiden Brandner. Jim is survived by his sisters, Ruth, Lilia and Roberta; several brothers and sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Jim served in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953; he retired from General Electric in 1993 after 32 years of service. Jim was a devoted husband, Dad, Papaw, and friend to many. He was a member of the Ben Franklin lodge #719; VFW post 1069.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 9, 2013 from 12-2 at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
