VAN HOOK, James Earnest
Age 90 of Hillsboro, OH, passed away June 9, 2024, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born May 7, 1934, in Somerset, KY, the son of William Harding and Ada (Mounce) Van Hook. On July 22, 1958, James married Florence Brinson in Owensville, OH and enjoyed over 65 Years of marriage. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked majority of his life as a Foreman.
James leaves behind his loving wife, Florence Van Hook; daughters, Gloria (Winston) Florence and Diana (Bruce) Eckstein; sisters, Imogene, Lois, Sue, and Jane; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Christina, Jacqualine, Michael, Cheyenne, Savannah, Bruce, Tia, and Robbie; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edmond, Edward, Frank, Carl, Curtis, and Charles; sister, Carlene; and daughter, Patricia Kinsel.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. – until time of Funeral Service (12 Noon), Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Brian Schrieber officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Milford, OH.
