NABORS

James “Jim” Arthur, age 81, of Fairfield passed away on February 2, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 12, 1937 in Hamilton to the late Arthur and Iva (nee Baker) Nabors. On June 9, 1956 he married Judy Lakes; she preceded him in death on February 3, 1999. Jim was a truck driver and sales manager for G&J Pepsi Cola Bottlers Inc.; he retired in 2002 after 45 years of employment.

He is survived by his devoted children, Bryon (Robert Funari) Nabors, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Nabors, and Diana (Daniel) Kelly; grandson, Matthew Kelly; siblings, Ron (Mildred) Nabors and Bobbie Helfry; and other family members.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy; sister, Geraldine Schweinfest; and his brother, Richard Nabors. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1072 Hicks Blvd., Fairfield, 45014. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the church with Pastor Tim White officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Hospice of Hamilton.
