Age 48 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield after a long illness. She was born February 27, 1958 in Hamilton, the daughter of Herbert A. and Mary Louise (Zerr) Alf. Jane was a 1976 graduate of Badin High School and then attended Miami University. She later worked for Kroger for 12 years.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Marie "Katie" Poe; brother, Tom (Debbie) Alf; sisters, Mary Jo (Dan) Corner and Lucy (Samir) Younes; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and friend, Cirmiles "Buzz" Melvin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. - until time of service (11:30 a.m.), Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice. Also, the family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
