Janet Dempsey

Janet Louise (nee McGuire) Dempsey age 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 9th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents Nancy (Curtin) and James McGuire, grandparents Andrew and Catherine Curtin and other friends and family joyfully welcoming her into Heaven. Janet is survived by her husband Edward Dempsey and children Patrick Dempsey (Valentijn) and Erin Dempsey. As well as her sisters and brothers, Jean Hartz, John McGuire (Patricia), Andrew McGuire (Vicki), James McGuire (Joyce), Brian Dempsey (Barb), Eileen John (Michael) and nieces and nephews Matthew McGuire (Summerlea), Jennifer Hartz, Michael Hartz, Julie Hartz, Shannon Rometo (Sergio), Johnny McGuire, Mackenzie Gaydosh (Garrett), Joey McGuire (Dana), Todd Dempsey (Ashley), Terri John-Watkins (Taylor), Luke John (Gina) Jillian John and many other friends, family, and friends who became family. Janet is remembered as a loving mother and wife who always put her children first and stood by her husband through moves around the country, starting and growing a small business, and generously helping others. She is remembered by her Champion/Smart Papers work family as the spunky coworker turned lifelong friend. Health was a battle for Janet in recent years, but she never stopped doing good for others, even on the bad days. While we are incredibly saddened by her passing, there is peace in knowing she is no longer hurting. Visitation will be held on Monday July 14, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00pm with the Prayer Service to follow (5-5:30pm) at Avance Funeral Home 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, Ohio 45014 with Deacon Ron Risch officiating.
