MESSER
Janet Marie (nee Gillespie), age 83, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was born March 5, 1932 in Hamilton, OH. She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar B. Messer Jr. and daughter Jill Messer.
She is survived by her two sons Jeff Messer (Tessa) and Jared Messer (Rachel); and daughter Dorothy Baxter (Wayne); Eleven grandchildren Matthew Messer (Gillian), Michael Messer, Nicholas Messer, Nathan Messer, Jacob Messer, Hannah Messer, Elizabeth Messer, Micah Messer, Bethany Honeycutt (Justin), Sarah Henegar (Frank), Nicholas Baxter; two great grandchildren McKenzie Henegar and Parker Henegar.
She was a loving wife and a devoted mother. Selfless and tireless in caring for her family, she laid many of her own dreams and ambitions aside to allow her children to pursue theirs. She was a doting grandmother. She poured her love and time into her grandkids and was never shy about telling everyone how proud she was of each of them. She made a cake icing that would melt in your mouth; never said no to a friend in need; and always took time to laugh. And now, as a life-long follower of Christ, she is at perfect peace with Jesus.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 28 from 5-7pm at Avance Funeral Home at 4976 Winton Road in Fairfield. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 29 at 11am at First Baptist Church in Hamilton at 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd. Hamilton.
