Janet (Mcdill) Rolfes

Janet McDill Rolfes passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2015. Janet Rolfes, the daughter of John Mark and Bertha Ranck McDill, was born December 1, 1926 in Union County, IN and was a resident of Hamilton, OH since 1946. Mrs. Rolfes graduated from Union High School, College Corner, OH in 1944, IN Business College, Richmond, in 1945, and attended Miami University. She retired in 1989 as Employee Activities Coordinator from the Knightsbridge Corporate Office of Champion International and was a member of Lindenwald Baptist Church. Janet Rolfes leaves her devoted husband, George H. Rolfes, Jr.; three loving children, Barbara Carpenter Robbins of Marshfield, MA, Dorothy Clark and Douglas Johnson, both of Fairfield; she leaves one sister, Helen Johnson of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rolfes was preceded in death by one daughter, Diann Carpenter, her former husbands Elmer Johnson and James Madden, her parents, and two brothers. Visitation and funeral will be Wednesday, December 30 at Lindenwald Baptist Church, 460 Symmes Road, Fairfield, visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Burial is immediately following the funeral at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton.
