Jean (Porter) Durbin
January 29, 1922 — November 27, 2016
DURBIN Jean, age 94, of Fairfield passed away on November 27, 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on January 29, 1922 in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada to John and Lucy Porter. Jean married Wilbur Durbin in 1943, he precedes her in death.
She is survived by her devoted grandson, Daniel (Maritess) Durbin; loving greatgrandchildren, Destiny, Darlene, Denise, Dylan, and Derek; siblings, Ed (Pat) Porter, Doug (Edna) Porter, Mildred Taylor, and Phyllis McNaughton. Jean is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Wayne; and grandson, Brian.
She was employed by the Ohio Casualty Company until her retirement in 1985 as a Rater. The family would like to thank Interim Health Care and Hospice of Hamilton for their loving care of Jean during her illness.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, 45014. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Danny Rollins officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton 45013.
