PATER, Joanne Theresa

Age 74, passed away on January 4, 2012. Joanne was proceeded in death by her parents Clarence and Rose Bucheit Pater; sister Rosemary Pater; brothers William, Howard, Louis, Lawrence, Ralph, Donald and James Pater. She is survived by her sister-in-law Peggy Pater, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, including life-long friend Wanda Jean McCollum. Joanne worked in accounting at Kroger Cincinnati until her retirement, and volunteered with many charitable organizations including the Fairfield and Sacred Heart Catholic Church food pantries, Tri County Extended Care, and Meals On Wheels. A class of 1955 graduate of Notre Dame high school, Joanne attended monthly luncheons with several high school friends and Kroger retirees and enjoyed traveling.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at The Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Condolences may be given at www.avancefuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to St. Joseph Church/School, Sacred Heart Church, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur or charity of choice.
