John H. Mckinney
November 29, 1927 — March 16, 2009
Age 81 of Fairfield passed away Monday, March 16, 2009. He was born November 29, 1927 in Paint Lick, Kentucky, the son of Joseph Andrew and Hennie (Plummer) McKinney. John was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky State College. He served his country in the Army Air Corp, ROTC, Reserves, and Army between the years of 1946 and 1954. John retired from Maxwell Company in Evendale in 1992 after 32 years.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Lou McKinney; daughters, Monica Ann McKinney and Alisa Beth (Stephen) McKinney-Whitlock; grandchildren, Haleigh Reid and Delaney Nicole Whitlock; sisters in law, Liz (David) Griffel and Billie Kinker; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nine siblings, Elizabeth, Josephine, Margaret, Raymond, Thelma, Evelyn, Russell, Betty and Bernie.
Visitation will be 1:30pm until time of service (2:30pm), Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park with Dr. John H.H. Lewis officiating. Memorials may be made to The Presbyterian Church 23 Front St. Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
