John E. Richards, Sr.

Age 61 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at his home. He was born October 18, 1945 in Cincinnati, the son of Walter and Hazel (Alsep) Richards. On January 28, 1967 he married Gail Chapen in Hamilton. John attended Colerain High School, and then worked on the Ft. Myers Beach, FL Fire Department for 6 years. He then went on to serve on the Collier County Sheriff's Department in Naples, FL and retired after 20 years.
John is survived by his wife, Gail (nee Chapen) Richards; 4 sons, Kevin (Beth), Jeff, John Jr. (Sandy) and Chris (Jannia); 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; siblings, Bill (Shirley), Allen (Judy) and Elaine Richards; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. - until time of service (7 p.m.), Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Chaplain Myra Wentworth officiating.
