John H. Voss

Age 77 of Fairfield passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Golden Years Care Facility. He was born July 22, 1930 in Hamilton, the son of Henry J. and Inez (Dale) Voss. On September 6, 1952 Jack married Iva Elrod at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1948 and then Miami University in 1954. Upon graduation Jack taught in the Hamilton City School District and then Lakota Schools until his retirement in 1995.

Mr. Voss was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Iva Voss; daughters, Debbie (Vernon) Wilkerson, Sue (Steve) Macklin, and Sally (Chris) Britton; grandchildren, Joshua, Jamie, Kayla, Alexandra, Emily, Laura, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Trent and Landen; and sister, Marcia (Jeff) Douthwaite. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Julia Voss.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dr. Dennis Metzger, Rev. William C. Brantingham, and Pastor Don Dewey officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
