Johnita "Johnnie" Kathleen Wallace

Johnita "Johnnie" Kathleen Wallace, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, at Berkeley Square in Hamilton, Ohio. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her children. Known as Johnnie to all who loved her, she was born on June 20, 1941, to parents John Louis and Cynthia LaPorte Wallace in Hamilton, Ohio. Johnnie is survived and missed by her husband of 64 years, John Gerald Wallace (Jerry) and her three children, Douglas Gerald Wallace and his wife Judy, Kimberly Sue Siman and her husband Mike, and John Norman Wallace and his wife Ruthie. She leaves a rich legacy of thirteen grandchildren: Amy Nutter (Kyle), Alex Wallace (Kaitlin) , Anna Hollon (Rick), Will Siman, Michael Siman, David Siman (Sheradyn – wife to be), Samuel Wallace (Laura), Audrey McCarty (Sean), Isabella Johnson (Nate), Lillian Wallace, Sophie Wallace, Joseph Wallace, Elizabeth Wallace; and six great grandchildren Kassidy Wallace, Gracyn Wallace, Stanley Wallace, Harvey Wallace, Stone McCarty and Selah McCarty, and a 7th great grandchild expected in March 2026. Johnnie was a faithful and loving wife, a wonderful mother, and beloved grandmother. She was kind and generous and actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Often, she would host sleepovers, where she prepared their favorite dinners and desserts, organized games, arts and crafts, and enjoyed movies on her bedroom floor. She celebrated Christmas lavishly, baked elaborate birthday cakes, and attended as many of her grandchildren’s games, plays, and events as she could. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio for over 45 years, and freely gave her time and her heart to many church activities and ministries. She worked in the Hamilton City School System as a Teacher’s Aide and as an Office Manager in the medical field. Visitation will take place from 10:00am until the time of service (11:30) on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at the Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014 with Dr. Dennis Metzger officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio. Her children rise up and bless her. Her husband also, and he praises her.
