Joseph R. Cowgill, 75, of Springdale passed away NOV. 13. The loving husband of Joyce (nee Stockum) for 25 years; beloved father of Mark, Jerry (Lynn), Dennis (Debbie), Marilyn Childress (Allan), Mike (Mary Anne), Bill Ries, Jr. (Kelly), and Teri Ries; dear brother to Eddie (Mary), both deceased, Jean (Jim) and Ross (Kay). Grandfather to Josh, Jessica, Nathan, Jenna, Ana, Jacob, Austin, Bailey, Sydney, Hank, Andrew, Oscar, Owen, and K.J. Joe worked at G.E. in the Aircraft Engine Group for 45 years. His career culminated in the position of Lead Project Manager for the engine of the Airbus A320 commercial jet. He loved his work. He graduated from General Motors Institute, Flint, MI. and Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, IN., and recently received their Lifetime Achievement Award. Joe was an Elder, Deacon, and Treasurer at Springdale Presbyterian Church for many years. Most profoundly, Joe was a great Husband, Father, Brother, and a Friend to all. Visitation is 10 AM Thursday, NOV. 20, Memorial Service is 10:30 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Cincinnati Free Store, at 112 E.
