Joseph E Torres

Age 56 of Kettering, passed away Friday September 19, 2008. He was born May 25, 1952 in Honolulu Hawaii. The son of Antonio Torres and Lou Puckett. Joseph was married on August 15, 1975 to Patricia Riter in Tacoma Washington. He graduated from Lakes High school in Tacoma Washington and completed a four year skilled trades program in carpentry. Joe was a member of the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene. He was a recipient of a liver transplant in 1993 and a kidney transplant in 2003. He was co-founder of The Transplant Support Group at The University of Cincinnati Hospital. He loved nature and sports especially soccer and baseball. Joe was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was loved by many. He succumbed to lymphoma and liver disease.

He is survived by his wife Patti; daughters Belinda, Clarissa, Petra; son in-law Robert Chehalis; grandchildren, Jordyn, Javier and Ce`Sarra; mother, Lou; and siblings, Tonigirl Verdelotte, Chickie Johnston, Cindy Reiners, Paul Torres, Danny Torres, Melissa Ellington, Jose, Ana , Sandra, Antonio Torres; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation is from 5pm until time of service (7pm) on Monday, September 22, at the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene, 1425 Nilles Rd. Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
