Age 96 of Hamilton, OH passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at Butler County Care Facility. She was born September 8, 1912 in Brownsville, MD, the daughter of Syrom and Gertrude (Kaetzel) Spitzer. Joyce was married to Lloyd A. Knauff until his death on March 15, 1975. She was self-employed in the Antique business and was a member of the Church of Brethern.
Joyce leaves behind her daughters, Mollie Sue Davis and Kay Liggett; grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 child; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD. Memorials may be made to Sharpsburg Church of the Brethern, Sharpsburg, MD. The Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield, OH and Rest Haven Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
