Jude C. Spoerl

Jude C. Spoerl, age 94 of Cincinnati, passed peacefully March 3, 2024, at Blue Ash Hospice Care Center surrounded by family. He was born in Hamilton Ohio on December 2, 1929, to the late Clarence and Helen Spoerl.

Jude is survived by: his loving wife of 48 years, Edith Louise; Sister, Diane (Vince) Dolce; Children: Chris (Nadine) Spoerl, David (Jill) Spoerl, Julia (Jeff) Cooper; Stepchildren: Debi Berte, Jeff (Rhonda) Berte; Grandchildren: Brittany Spoerl, Nolan Spoerl,  Jacqueline Cooper, Brad (Erin) Berte, Matt Berte and Melinda Osbourne; Great Grandchildren: Allyra, Athellia, Ava, Hunter ,Bo, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his Grandson: Anthony Spoerl, Brothers: Gene and Jim Spoerl.

Jude attended Hamilton Catholic High School (Hamilton, Ohio); Miami University (Oxford, Ohio); and received his degree from Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio). He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Cincinnati Ohio, where he attended services. His faith was an important aspect of his life, providing him with strength and guidance.

Jude was an avid golfer and a lifetime member at the Hamilton Elks Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. He served as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army during the Korean War where he earned many medals.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Avance Funeral Home in Fairfield.  Visitation will be from 9AM until time of service (10AM) at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (Supporting families of American Heroes) T2T.org: 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, New York 10306
