Kathryn "Rose" (Belosic) Young

YOUNG Kathryn Rose, age 100, known as Rose, went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2018 surrounded by family at Fairfield Place Assisted Living Community. She was born in Hamilton on October 16th, 1918, the daughter of Urban and Rose Belosic.

Rose married John E. Young on February 2, 1943. She attended Hamilton Schools and Butler Business School; worked at Ohio Casualty and retired from Champion Paper Company. Rose was a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton. She was a Girl Scout leader; President of Harding Jr. High PTA; a member of the Cooperative Baby Milk Fund; the American Baptist Women Smith Circle; and the Elks Ladies golf and bowling league. Rose was also a charter member of New London Hills Swim Club; and volunteered at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She loved to play bridge and dominoes; enjoyed traveling; family vacations; the theatre; dancing; and a good party. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Fuz) Buchanan and Nancy (Jerry) Whipple; grandchildren, Katie (Bryon) Simpson, Jonathan (Brittany) Whipple, Mark Whipple, Renee (John Howard) Buchanan and Deron (Kristy) Buchanan; great grandchildren, Alex and Olivia West; Maddie and Emily Buchanan and Shea, Juliet and Beau Whipple and Lillian and Evelyn Simpson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Ann Schuck and brother Victor Belosic.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Hamilton, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd, Hamilton, 45013 on Saturday November 17, 2018 with the visitation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 12 p.m.
