Katie Lorenzo

Katie Lorenzo nació el 20 de marzo de 2002 en la ciudad de Gainesville, Georgia. Fue hija amada de Yadira Sánchez y hermana de Julio David Lorenzo. A la edad de 8 años, junto a su familia, se trasladó al estado de Ohio, donde desarrolló gran parte de su vida.

Inició sus estudios en la Escuela Primaria Rivers View en la ciudad de Hamilton, continuando su educación intermedia en la Escuela Garfield, en la misma ciudad. Posteriormente cursó sus estudios de bachillerato en la Escuela Secundaria Lakota West, ubicada en West Chester, Ohio, donde se graduó.

Tras finalizar sus estudios, Katie trabajó en diversos lugares que siempre recordó con especial cariño, entre ellos PrideStaff, Keep It Clean by Cinthya, y finalmente en el Distrito Escolar de Princeton City Schools, donde se desempeñó como Bilingual Career Navigator.

Desde muy pequeña fue instruida en los caminos de Cristo. Su madre la describe como una hija obediente, servicial, curiosa, entusiasta y profundamente amorosa, siempre atenta a las necesidades de los demás. Su único mal humor, dice con ternura su madre, aparecía cuando tenía hambre. Katie poseía un gran deseo de superación y un corazón dispuesto a ayudar a su prójimo. Ella se comprometió el 12 de Octubre del 2025 con Uriel García "My Chunky Butt" con quien se casaría el 18 de Abril 2026 (Nuestro más sentido pésame a Uriel)

Creció espiritualmente en la iglesia Jesucristo Rey de las Naciones en la ciudad de Lincoln Hight, donde conoció a la familia Sarabia a la edad de 11 años, quienes formaron gran parte de su vida, y con esta familia vivió por los últimos 2 años, a quienes llamo amorosamente "Mis Tíos y mis Primos", a finales del año 2022 se integró a la iglesia Esperanza de Vida en Forest Park, donde inició su formación como líder. Allí pasó a formar parte del equipo de líderes de jóvenes adultos, desempeñándose fielmente en labores de predicación, enseñanza, discipulado y evangelismo.

Katie participó activamente en viajes misioneros, entre ellos a Costa de Marfil, África, y en su último viaje a Cuba, donde fue parte de la plantación de la iglesia Esperanza de Vida Cuba.

Katie terminó sus días en esta tierra participando en una campaña de ayuno y oración de 21 días, partiendo a la presencia del Señor en el segundo día de dicha jornada espiritual.

Lorenzo, Katie Graciela

Katie Lorenzo was born on March 20, 2002, in the city of Gainesville, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Yadira Sánchez and the sister of Julio David Lorenzo. At the age of 8, she moved with her family to the state of Ohio, where she spent much of her life.

She began her education at Rivers View Elementary School in the city of Hamilton, continuing her middle school studies at Garfield School in the same city. She later attended Lakota West High School, located in West Chester, Ohio, where she graduated.

After completing her studies, Katie worked in various places that she always remembered with great fondness, including PrideStaff, Keep It Clean by Cinthya, and finally the Princeton City Schools District, where she served as a Bilingual Career Navigator.

From a very young age, she was instructed in the ways of Christ. Her mother described her as an obedient, helpful, curious, enthusiastic, and deeply loving daughter, always attentive to the needs of others. Her only bad mood, her mother affectionately said, appeared when she was hungry. Katie had a strong desire for self-improvement and a heart ready to help others. She became engaged on October 12, 2025, to Uriel García, affectionately known as "My Chunky Butt," whom she was to marry on April 18, 2026 (our deepest condolences to Uriel).

She grew spiritually at the church Jesucristo Rey de las Naciones in the city of Lincoln Heights, where she met the Sarabia family at the age of 11. They became an important part of her life, and she lived with them for the last two years, lovingly calling them "my aunts and my cousins." At the end of 2022, she joined the church Esperanza de Vida in Forest Park, where she began her training as a leader. There, she became part of the young adults leadership team, faithfully serving in preaching, teaching, discipleship, and evangelism.

Katie actively participated in missionary trips, including to Côte d'Ivoire, Africa, and on her final trip to Cuba, where she took part in the planting of Esperanza de Vida Cuba church.

Katie spent her final days on this earth participating in a 21-day fast and prayer campaign, departing to be in the presence of the Lord on the second day of that spiritual journey.

Forever loved and remembered.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of Funeral Service (12 Noon), Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Vineyard Cincinnati Church, 11340 Century Circle E, Springdale, OH 45246. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
