Kay Francis Blevins

May 30, 1931 — October 29, 2006

Age 75 of Hamilton, went home to be with her Lord and to watch over her great-grandson, Landon Hamblin on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Hospice of Cincinnati (Hamilton) due to Diabetic complications. She was born May 30, 1931 in Irvine, KY, the daughter of Charles Noah and Catherine (Banta) VanCleve. In December of 1952, she married John Blevins in Liberty, IN.

Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She was the foundation of the family and everyone considered her "Their Mamaw". Humor was a way of life, and even when she was sick, she made sure everyone was happy and laughing. Kay could often be found at yard sales or thrift stores. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, John Blevins; brother, Richard VanCleve and Sisters, Juanita Judd and Lois Wolfe; children, Barbara Thibodeaux, Cathy (Randy) Gray, Doug (Angie) Blevins, Nancy (Gary) Coombes, Debbie (Darryl) Marcum, and Lynda Hamblin; Grandchildren, Dawn (Glee) Snelling, Brian Ward, Brandi Ward, Josh Ward, Kevin (Sheila) Gray, Nicki (David) Strickland, Ryan Gray, Johnathan Blevins, Christina Blevins, Ann Crighton, Gino Wood, Jason Blevins, Heather (Royce) Hevron , Casey Coombes, Tasha Marcum, Justin Marcum, Courtney Marcum, Leah (Nathan) Couch, and Alicia Hamblin; Great-Grandchildren, Brandon Ward, Kirstyn Snelling, Garrison Snelling IV, Audrey Ward, Tristan Ward, Jakobi Ward, Bailey Gross, Logan Gross, Madisyn Gray, Zac Strickland, Justin Strickland, Cole Strickland, Jacob Strickland, Ann Crighton, Gino Wood, Tristan Hevron, Arianna Hevron, Noah Marcum, Landon Hamblin, Taylor Kay Couch. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don and Bob VanCleve; and great-grandson, Landon Hamblin.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (12 noon), Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati at Sunrise. Also, the family will accept condolences at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
