Hendricks, Kenneth E. (Butch),

age 75, departed this life to join his Savior on July 22, 2011 after a short courageous battle with ALS from home with his family around him. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 12, 1936 to Cecie & Jack Hendricks. For most of his life he was raised by his beloved Granny, Sally Comley in Richmond, Kentucky. He was employed by Champion Papers as a Foreman in the finishing department for 40 years. On February 23, 1958 he married his wife of 53 years Barbara (Abrams) Hendricks. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he enjoyed helping wherever he was needed. Butch's greatest joys were being on the golf course with his friends and spending time his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Barb, daughters Tari Hendricks, Cheryl (Steve) Lambertson, and Laurie Hendricks; grandchildren Leesa Bunn, Specialist Stephen Hendricks, US Army, and his beloved great-grandson Cameron Hendricks who was the joy of his life for his last years; and sister, Millie Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, and brother, Paul Hendricks. The family would like to extend their special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Harry Davin for going beyond what was expected in his care of our loved one. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio or the ALS Society.
