Dr. Kern Z. Jr. – age 79 of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was born February 7, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Kern and Geraldine McKee Sr. (Boyer). On December 29, 1968 in Napoleon, Ohio he married his late wife Noralee McKee (Decker). Kern was a former educator, coach and Principal for Fairfield City School District and Lockland High School serving his community for over 40 years. He is survived by his children Kern (Michelle) McKee III and Kerry (Kevin) Fletcher; grandchildren Mariah McKee, Ryan Fletcher and Kenley Fletcher; sister Pam Szeve; also survived by numerous family and friends. Kern is preceded in death by his parents, wife Noralee, and brother Guy McKee. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 5PM until time of service (7PM) at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH, 45014.
