In Loving Memory of Kimberly Ross Conner
With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the unexpected passing of Kimberly Ross Conner on Friday March 20, 2026.
Kimberly was a vibrant, radiant soul—creative, fun, comical, and effortlessly herself. She carried a classy yet free-spirited nature that made her truly one of a kind. She never knew a stranger; wherever she went, she created connection and a sense of belonging. She had a beautiful smile that made others smile. Her energy and presence brought positivity and warmth to every room she entered.
Her passing was sudden and deeply shocking, especially as she had been doing better—managing her Type 1 diabetes and the complications that come with it—making this loss all the more difficult to understand.
Above all, she loved her girls, her daughters Erika and Brandy. She would often say that her life was built around loving them—and she lived that truth every day. That love only expanded when her grandsons came into her world: Connor, Eli, and Chase. They were a constant source of pride, joy, and deep love. She would say to us, “You know the way you love your babies… just wait until you have grandbabies!”—a love even she could not have fully imagined until she experienced it herself.
Kimberly had a signature vivacity—rarely without her lipstick or a favorite gloss, always adding that final touch. She might dig through her purse for a bit, but she’d always find a tube or two. She loved to shop and thrift, with a true eye for secondhand treasures. She found joy in the little things—clothing styled in a way only she could, and furniture she would refinish and transform into something uniquely her own. It wasn’t just about what she found—it was about how she lived: expressive, vibrant, and full of life.
Kim will be remembered for her positivity, her laughter, her creativity, her resilience, her charm, and the way she made people feel. She had a gift for bringing light into everyday moments, and her presence left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Erika Ellis (Son-in-Law, Timothy Ellis) and Brandy Venanzio; her cherished grandsons, Connor Grisso, (his GF Erika Tingley) Eli Barrett, and Chase Ellis; and her beloved partner, Doug Johnson, with whom she found a beautiful and healthy love that brought them both great happiness. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit. (Carla Hammond, Susan Scheponick, Cathy Hess, and Rene Sullivan. These were the closest friends…)
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where we will gather to honor her in the way she lived—full of love, connection, and light.
In remembering her, we hold close the joy she brought, the love she gave, and the beautiful energy that will never leave us.
