Macie LaVerne Tanner, age 96, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 9:50 pm at Home surrounded by her Family. She was born on August 15, 1918 in Nicholasville, Kentucky, the Daughter of John & Betty (Hubbard) Hay. She married Charles F. Tanner on August 17, 1940, in Covington, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on February 8th, 1999.

She was a dedicated Wife, Loving Mother, and an Adoring Grandmother. She was a life-long member of Park Avenue Methodist Church. She loved being a homemaker, working in her Flower Gardens, Music & Dancing with her Husband. She enjoyed her family around her and was always supportive & encouraging.

She leaves to cherish her memory – Daughters, Patricia (Jack Miller) & Judith (Tom Clifford; adoring Grandmother of six Grandchildren: Jackie (Don Cipollini), Jennifer (Roger Beard), Jana (Bryan Stinchcomb), David (Susie) Clifford, Don Clifford, and Sheila Trumbo; 15 Great Grandchildren; Tim, Tom, Jaymee, Tyler, Jayson, Brittney, Skylar, Brent, Brad, Brody, Alex, Breanna, Delaney, Leandra, Sierrah; Great-Great Grandchild, Dalton Hayes; and two additional great-great grandchildren due April and June of this year, plus many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 Sisters; Jesse House, Nellie Standafer, Josephine Wills, Willetta Shepard and 3 brothers; Lloyd, Johnny, and Clint.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 28, at 10:00 am at Avance Funeral Home, Winton Road, Fairfield, with Pastor Sam Harnish of Park Avenue Church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Feb 27 th , from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
