Lawrence Wayne Wahl

Age 69 of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born on June 10, 1941 in Hamilton, the son of George Lee and Mary Ruth (Young) Wahl. Larry attended Hamilton City Schools and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. His bravery and selfless service earned him a Purple Heart in his second tour of duty. Lawrence was employed for 31 years at Champion International Papers until his retirement February 7, 2001.
He is survived by his 3 sisters, Donna (Gilbert) Owens, Katherine (James) Hamblin and Carol (Walter) Klock; 2 brothers, George Wahl and Jack (Gloria) Wahl; and many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy Schulz.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Millville Cemetery.
