Liberina ‘Libby’ (nee Saluppo) passed away peacefully on Thursday November 13, 2025, at the age of 90. Libby was born in Busso Italy to Emilio Antonio and Filomena Saluppo on May 23, 1935, and emigrated to the United States after the war when she was 11 years old. On August 11, 1956, Libby married Paul Chester and began a beautiful life together. She enjoyed traveling and cooking delicious authentic Italian dishes for her family. Libby was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul of 50+ years and is survived by daughters Angela Simons, Paula Chester, Gina (Scott) Verdon and her sister Mary Heenan. Libby is also survived by her grandchildren Drew (Sarah) Simons, Tori (Mac) Vollet, Dylan Verdon & Blake Verdon and 5 great grandchildren who have brought her much joy. Visitation will be Thursday November 20, 2025, from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfi­eld, OH. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fair­field, OH 45014 with Father David Sunberg officiating.
