Linda Lou Elrod Walton, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 16, 1940, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Mike Walton, and together they celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage. Their love and commitment to one another were a true testament to the power of family and devotion. For 35 years, Linda worked at Kroger, where she was known for her strong work ethic, friendly smile, and kindness toward both coworkers and customers. She took pride in her work and formed lifelong friendships with those she met along the way. Beyond her career, Linda found joy in sewing and quilting, creating beautiful handmade pieces that will be cherished for generations. Her quilts were not just fabric and thread but reflections of her love and care, stitched together with warmth and devotion. Linda’s passion for life, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories that will be carried on by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014, on Wednesday, March 19th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a brief service at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013.
