COMPTON Lonnie “John” M., age 74, of Hamilton passed away on September 6, 2014 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1939 in New Boston, OH to Eugene and Mary Compton. John is survived by his loving children, Curtis (Marilyn) Compton, Ronnie Compton, David (Lori) Compton, Vonda (John) Sparks; loving grandfather of 11; great grandfather of 10. . He is also survived by his brothers, Charles “Red” Compton and Dewitt Compton; sisters, Ellen Smith, Joyce Mayhugh, Judy Cobb, and Norma Lofland, and his dear daughter in law, Kimberly Compton. He is preceded in death by his greatest love, his wife of 47 years, Opal (Watkins) Compton; loving daughter Diana Compton; grandson, Jamie Sizemore; his second wife of 9 years, Mary (Crawford) Compton; 3 brothers, Oral, Richard, and Ray Compton; sister, Janelle Richter; and his parents.
