Loretta (Parker) Allen

Loretta Allen August 17, 1935 – April 17, 2022 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. – Revelation 21:4

Loretta Allen – age 86 of Overpeck, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022.  She passed away at Hospice of Hamilton peacefully with loved ones nearby. Loretta was born August 17, 1935 in McKee, Kentucky to Rhoda (Ferguson) and Homer Parker.  On May 16, 1950, she married the love of her life, Gilbert Allen in Jackson Co., Kentucky.  They built a wonderful life together filled with lots of love and laughter.  Gilbert preceded her in death on May 27, 2011.  Loretta was a homemaker.  She loved her family and the Lord.  She was a true believer who read her Bible regularly and prayed for everyone. She is survived by her two children Charles (Charlotte) Allen of Seven Mile and James Allen of Overpeck.  Her eleven grandchildren; Tom (Tiffany), Cara (Nathan), Jessica (Nick), Charles, Lewis, Alex, Michael, Kelly.  Twelve great-grandchildren; Krystal, Tatum, Max, Caysen, Mia, Zeke, Marshall, Paisley, Evangeline, Johnny, Reagan, Maccabee. Her sisters Mae and Louise; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Loretta is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, daughters Wanda Sue, Barbra Marie and Sharon.  Her daughter-in-laws Sylvia Allen and Kathy Allen.  Brothers Lenard, Lonnie, Lester and sisters Lee and Lauri. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2PM at Hickory Flat Cemetery, 4464 Morganthaler Rd., Overpeck, OH 45011 with Pastor Rodney White officiating.  A Memorial Luncheon will immediately follow at St. Claire Community Center.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to offset funeral expenses.
