Louis "Lou" H. Fassnacht

April 1, 1938 — November 27, 2013

Louis (Lou) Fassnacht, age 75, Fairfield, OH passed away peacefully, at his residence surrounded by his family, on November 27, 2013, after a courageous battle with Sarcoma cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Patricia (Harper) Fassnacht; cherished daughter and son-in-law Holly (Major Thomas) Craig, Adams, TN; brother Richard (Diana) Fassnacht, Hamilton, OH; sisters-in-law Aileen (Ed) Grote, Englewood, FL and Mary Beth Beyke, Louisville, KY; many other dear family members and friends. Lou, a life-long resident of the Cincinnati area, served with the Navy prior to attending UC and joining GE Major Appliance Division. After a successful 37 year sales career, he retired in 2000. Lou was a long time member of St. Mark's UMC, Fairfield, OH, Hoffner Street Church and the DeMolay as a youth; a 50 year member of E. T. Carson Masonic Lodge #598 and a 40 year member of the Scottish Rite. He was able to utilize his love of sports by coaching Girl's Fast Pitch Softball. Lou is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Delores Fassnacht. A celebration of Lou's life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013, St. Mark's UMC, 4601 Fairfield Ave., Fairfield, 45014. Family will receive friends from 1-4pm, with a celebratory service following at 4:30pm; Pastors Tammy Jo Reiser and Robert Klingel officiating. Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project, Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; St. Mark's Memorial Fund, or Hospice of Cincinnati Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597 Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com. Please meet at the gate of Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd., 45231 at 11:50 a.m. on Monday December 9, 2013 for his interment with full military honors.
