Lucille Fritzsche
August 18, 1919 — January 30, 2007
Age 87 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 8:46 p.m. on January 30, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born August 18, 1919 in Pruden, TN, the daughter of Jake and Mary (Brown) Hurst. On April 19, 1944 she married Richard Fritzsche in Blue Ash, OH. That union lasted 53 years until Richard's death in 1997. Lucille was a member of Washington Chapter No. 195 O.E.S., Travel Club of Fairfield and a past president of the Fairfield Women Club.
Lucille loved her family dearly. Those who knew and loved her will miss her kind and loving spirit. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling and bowling.
She leaves to cherish her memories, 2 daughters, Mary Frances Lewis and Lois Hester, both of Fairfield; step-son, Lynn (Barbra) Fritzsche of Florida; 9 grandchildren, Judi (Bobby) Rogers, Gina Lewis, Linda (Dennis) Gadd, Bill Lewis, Larry (Tonya) Hester, Bobby (Rosie) Lewis, Scott Hester, Todd Fritzsche, Gene Fritzsche; 12 great-grandchildren, Kristin (Rodney) Wilson, Jeremy Gadd, Kari (Chad) Pennington, Jimi Gadd, Kelli (Justin) Humbach, Joey Gadd, Stephanie (Anthony) Carlino, Kristoffer Lewis, Justin Hester, Breanna Spears, Ryan Hester, Hannah Hester; 10 great-great grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Tyler Brock, Kortni Wilson, Brady Wilson, Maddox Pennington, Dylan Humbach, Maci Pennington, Hailei Brunner and Branden Hester; 4 sisters, Loraine Hammock, Bea Hurst, Jean Fultz and Viola Donelson; brother, Mitchell (Brenda) Hurst; and many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank Edwards in 1941 and Richard Fritzsche in 1997; and 2 sisters, Juanita and Lagretta.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and aides, especially Becky Hamback of floor 3A at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield, and Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and concern.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home with Washington Chapter No. 195, O.E.S. services at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
